Construction Gifts Round Up

Do you have a construction obsessed child? Well, I certainly do! Baby J loves all vehicles, but especially excavators, dump trucks and backhoes. Based on our personal experience, I wanted to share this construction gifts round up with you all. Christmas is right around the corner, so get to planning!

Noisy Trucks is by far the most read book in our house right now! My son loves to push the buttons on each page to hear the vehicles make sounds. He especially loves the rumble tumble noise of the cement mixer.

Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site is a must read for any construction loving child. This is a sweet bedtime story that your little guy or gal will look forward to hearing over and over again.

The Follow the Trail books by DK are awesome, and Trucks happens to be (by no surprise) one of Baby J’s favorites. This book has little indented finger trails for your little one to feel along with.

We love Melissa & Dough products, especially the puzzles. Here are two super fun puzzles by Melissa & Doug that are all about construction. The first one here is with the pegs in the center of the pieces and the second one listed is with the chunky pieces for grabbing with little hands. Amazingly, my 10 year old used the chunky puzzle as a toddler and it has held up all of these years.

We came across this Tonka garbage truck while out running errands. While we usually don’t do ‘just because’ toys, my son was so excited about this one that I couldn’t pass it up. And boy did we get our money’s worth on this one! My son plays with it in the house, in the backyard, drags it to the park and has even taken it to bed. It makes noise (nothing irritating) and also has flashing lights.

This Cat set of trucks is perfect for backyard play. My son loves to do a car wash with the dump truck. I give him a bowl of soapy water and a sponge, and he will spend endless amounts of time washing his trucks. These are mostly plastic, so no worries getting them wet.

This dump truck by Green Toys is the perfect size for little hands. It is big enough to pile some dirt or gravel into the back and drive around the backyard. It is also super durable! We have had ours for almost a year and it still looks brand new.

I don’t know what it is about pajamas, but my kids LOVE them. Carters is my go-to brand because they are high quality and are super cozy. I also love the coordinating sets that we can mix and match. All construction loving kiddos will be happy to go to bed in these fun pj’s.

Our Wish List

Here are a few items that we don’t have, but hope to get for this next birthday or for Christmas. **Grandma and Grandpa… wink wink**

First up is this Duplo Set. I know Baby J will love the little orange cones and the crane with the little bucket.

Okay, how do we not have this yet?! This dress up set is the cutest!!

All kids love flashlights, but, can you picture how much fun this flashlight would be for a little boy?

This sleeping bag by Olive Kids would be perfect for sleepovers with Grandma!

Of course every construction worker needs tools, so Baby J should get his very own set like this one. (This has crazy good reviews on Amazon!)

Happy Shopping!

I plan on doing a few more toy round ups as we get closer to Christmas and Hanukkah. Be on the look out for an upcoming post on unicorns!

I will leave you with one of our favorite construction songs….. (Sorry if it gets stuck in your head! We sing it ALL the time!)
